GeelongHEART is a private practice, and charges above the Medicare Schedule Fee. However, we charge significantly below the Australian Medical Association Fee, which takes into account movements in wages and practice running costs.

A discount is offered for Pensioners and Health Care Card holders. Please notify the Receptionist if this applies to you.

There is no requirement to have any Health Insurance to be seen at this Practice.

Payment is expected on the day of the consultation, by eftpos or credit card. Please notify the Receptionist if you need to make alternative arrangements.

If your bank details are registered with Medicare, the rebate amount will be automatically deposited into your bank account.

Up to 100% of out-of-pocket expenses for Consultations will be refunded by Medicare if you have reached the Safety Net in any given financial year. Click here for more information.

If you expect to have any difficulty with payment, please discuss this with your referring Doctor or with the cardiologist during the consultation.
